For my observation artwork, I have chosen to do a still life drawing of a deer mount. I am using a deer mount from inside of my garage at home for this theme.

Artistic Behaviors
Artists Communicate Through Their Work-
I have chosen a deer for this theme because I really like them. Not only do I like to hunt, I like to just watch deer. I think that they are so majestic and the most beautiful creatures on this planet, and I want to be able to share that with other people as well. I have been waiting all year so far to be able to use a deer for my artwork.
So far, I only have an outlined sketch. I have been having trouble with the shadowing part, mostly with the antlers because the shadow that I see from my perspective in my garage shows the other points on the antlers as well making me confused on how I should do it. I think after try a few times and keep looking closely, I should be able to get it down.

Artist Observe-
Although it doesn't seem that I have been very observant, I have, but I just haven't been able to show it on my sketch yet. The deer mount is so detailed that I have been trying to figure out exactly where and how to add this detail. I promise that when it comes time to turn in my artwork and blog about it again, it will be completely finished showing the magnificent, strong pose of the buck with it's beautiful fur coat distinguishing it's tan and white camouflage.
